How will they hear?

Who will go?

Whom shall we send?

History

After many years of world evangelization, Mr. Francis Grim, the founder of SAAWE, was deeply burdened with the many millions unreached with the Gospel. South Africans needed to be challenged to do all in their power to meet this need.

In 1976 Mr. Grim expressed this challenge in the form of a booklet “An Ideology for South Africa” of which a quarter of a million copies were printed in English and Afrikaans. Later editions, including one in Zulu, raised the figure to over half a million. This booklet sowed the vision of world missions among the Christians of South Africa. On 18 November 1976 SAAWE was founded to fulfil a long felt need.
