Welcome to SAAWE
Vision
South Africa – a fountain blessing the world with the Love and Good News of Jesus.
Fruit
Hundreds of local churches have been exposed through SAAWE to the need of people who have not yet heard that Jesus loves them, and many became actively involved in making a difference to this situation.
More than a thousand South Africans have become missionaries after using SAAWE’s services. Some of them are leaders of mission organisations today.
A number of partnerships and networks, focused on specific People groups, were formed with the help of SAAWE.
SAAWE can help you and your church to make an impact.
History
After many years of world evangelization, Mr. Francis Grim, the founder of SAAWE, was deeply burdened with the many millions unreached with the Gospel. South Africans needed to be challenged to do all in their power to meet this need.
In 1976 Mr. Grim expressed this challenge in the form of a booklet “An Ideology for South Africa” of which a quarter of a million copies were printed in English and Afrikaans. Later editions, including one in Zulu, raised the figure to over half a million. This booklet sowed the vision of world missions among the Christians of South Africa. On 18 November 1976 SAAWE was founded to fulfil a long felt need.
